Albert Einstein has been widely quoted saying, “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”
I try to be present before I eat or drink anything. For example, I kept a record of what I drank one chilly September morning when I got up.
At first, I craved warm water. But it just did not taste right - I craved salty. Adding some kelp and miso did the trick.
According to the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), having a salty drink, I was balancing my kidneys. The second glass I had was hot water with fresh lemon juice - supporting my liver. Later on, I had 2 poke berries (not the seeds). They taste bitter. Bitter taste is associated with the heart support in the TCM.
Our cat was pretty content with the ground raw chicken.
While our indoor cat Cheddar was watching the bugs outside, I went to walk on my 4 on the morning dew-covered cold grass - that was so refreshing! A nice walk to a playground through the arboretum to observe the nature always makes me feel alive! At the playground, I did a few rounds on monkey bars, a handstand and other fun things kids do.
A fresh tangelo and a green apple are waiting for me on the kitchen counter! Before than, I'd like to have an açai drink.
P.S. When I got home, I cut up the green apple and poured defrosted açai . So much for planning :) What's important for me is to have a variety of foods available so that I can make choices.
The next morning, I had a cup of hibiscus tea with a Live Bouquet honey, adding a little buckthorn oil.
What we eat, drink and breeze in - all goes into nourishing and building our healthy cells, which are not synthetic.
