This is the story from my friend.
"I had an opportunity to witness how plants can really assist the body.
There are some people who don’t advocate using plants to help the body, that the body is the
only thing that heals. But just like plants that we eat to help the body do what it
does, so, too, the oils from plants can be used by the body just like food.
I was visiting a friend who was pet sitting a small dog. While we were at the house,
we let him out back to do his business. My friend told me his eyes had a lot of pus and
were inflamed. She said, the owner had given him some medicine that was out of
date but it wasn’t helping. The eyes were still oozing pus.
While we were out back with him, he went for a bush that had purple flowers and
started eating the flowers. We thought that was interesting and wondered
why he picked that particular bush.
When we got home, we looked up the bush to see its qualities. Found out, it has
been known by the Chinese since ancient times as a cure for eye problems. The
bush is commonly called the butterfly bush.
A little while after I got back home, I heard from my friend that the dog’s eyes
looked so much better since he ate those flowers!
Can’t get much better testimonial than that for the benefits of our plants.
And there’s just so many that we have available to us. Of course, the body does the healing,
ultimately, but when we are paying attention to it, the body will let us know what it needs."
Our dog, Rainbow, grazed on willow tree bark when she was in pain.
We too, need to get in touch with our no less amazing nature to stay well.
