Dear friends,
Many years ago, unknowingly, I caused above and below my eyes to get swollen by taking too much cod liver oil for my sore throat. I looked so bad, I was embarrassed to go outside in the daylight. How bad? When I looked in the mirror, I screamed :) If I had a sense of humor at the moment, I would have simply said, I turned Chinese. But ...
Why do you think my eyes got swollen?
Because "our body never lies" writes Michio Kushi. You may be interested in reading Healthy Eyes on Acufinder.com
People use different creams and do all sorts of exercises for their face and eyes, yet, this is not where the dog is buried (A Russian expression) :)
I always observe myself.
Yesterday, I bought raw "organic" figs. Even though they were ripe, my lips and mouth hurt. I know that the unripe ones have strong enzymes that may cause a strong reaction. My husband suggested that they may have chemicals on them. Smart! I put the figs in the Thieves fruit and veggies solution.
Our body constantly changes. Even when I exercise, I change the sequence to whatever my body needs.
What we eat may serve us as nutrition, support the natural detoxification and provide emotional / spiritual support. Some foods absorb, some hydrate. Our body tells us what it needs, taste- and texture- wise, smell, color, food memories... As long as we are present.
I had an interesting experience the other day in the morning. I felt like smelling and adding ginger essential oil to my drink. It was dark in the kitchen, so I just put my hand out to get the oil from the many essential oils I have on my counter. To my surprise, it was a nutmeg essential oil and it smelled pleasant to me. Usually, I don't care for its smell and find ginger essential oil smell so exotic. I reached again for the oil, and this time, I got ginger, except that surprisingly, it did not smell pleasant to me! So interesting, how my body knew what vibration I needed!
Another amazing example is when I was pregnant, I felt like I had to eat meat, even though I'm not such a meat eater. I would go to a local restaurant and get myself a burger. How not surprised I was when my son's favorite food has become a bison! :)
Nothing is constant in our body as it adepts to the environment and how we take care of it. One thing though - our body / mind and spirit always strive to reach homeostasis.
