I still have mucus after I had a fever, already started hiking and biking. I know, some people always carry a tissue to blow their nose, but not I. I need to assist my whole being tune up . Obviously, the presence of noxious mucus is the sign that my body is toxic, as mucus is carrying toxins out.
Should I get rid of mucus or support my body to do its job?
My mucus has been clear, yet sticky and enough to tickle my throat to cough occasionally.
What happened, after coming home from a 2-weeks vacation, hiking in the mountains of California desert?
The difference is right there - inactivity, less fresh air, not having the fresh grapefruits, too much cheese without veggies or greens, not enough fibrous fresh foods, eating when not hungry, interrupted sleep - time to make changes. My body is telling me.
It is interesting to note, how people blame their age on their looks, and follow face lift exercises, mono diets, and so on.
The answer is very simple however - listen to your unique intelligent body, everything in moderation (old wise saying). Our body shows us what we are doing wrong - we need to be blind to ignore it! Sitting too much and a poor digestion - we get a big stomach, fat butt and legs, all that weight is on our internal organs (kidneys, bladder, liver, sexual organs).
Why do we not sleep as we used to? The internal organs needing nutritional and exercise (muscles) support.
All these problems are visible on our face - bags under and above the eyes, lines around the mouth, and so on. Traditional Oriental medicine has it all down.
So instead of being sorry for myself getting older, I focus on staying healthy and enjoying my life, writing music and sharing what I learned with others.
I have a ton of practical information in my book, including healthful recipes, I hope more people get to read.
Pictured above is my favorite slurpy with dragon fruit, lemongrass and hibiscus teas, fresh lemon juice and delicious NingXia Nitro. Sometimes, I add frankincense resin infusion, as my body craves bitters. For my mucus and cough, I will add ginger and even suck on it. Definitely will make a refreshing juice with carrots, ginger and whatever else I will want - maybe celery, cucumber, cabbage, turmeric root. The taste is how my body is letting me know what it is missing. I even eat fresh aloe, all by itself. Maybe, as per TCM, my heart and small intestine need extra support. I never disregard my emotional load :)
I love cabbage salad. Pictured above - cabbage, tomatoes, carrot, ginger, black sprouted sesame tahini, hemp oil, fresh lemon juice on a sheet of sea weed.
Do I need a chiropractic adjustment? I don't think so - my body is pliable - if the colon is congested, I need to cleanse it and it will get in a better shape, not pulling and pushing on my muscles, spine and other internal organs. Should I use herbs and other remedies - maybe, to support nutritionally and energetically my internal organs and my whole being, rather slowly, not to load my blood, lymph and cells, etc. with recirculating toxins.
