"One of the most important herbs in my material media is Comfrey (Symphytum officinalis). I first put its remarkable powers to the test many moons ago after I shattered my shoulder blade. I applied Comfrey compresses for just over two weeks, regaining full mobility, much to my doctors surprise. I have since turned several of my friends onto this magical herb, whenever they had a break or sprain.
A couple of months back I had a surgical procedure on my shoulder and again, I was able to accelerate healing with the use of my Comfrey salve. I was recently given full clearance from my surgeon.
After writing about the success of my healing on a recent Facebook post, I heard from a friend in Canada who was in a car accident and broke her ankle. I immediately, put together a package and mailed it off. Apart from helping a friend, it is part of the philosophy of pay it forward, as friends from around the country sent me healing salves and herbal remedies when they heard about my shoulder.
If you have room in your garden, I’d highly recommend growing a patch of Comfrey. Besides being medicinal it is a great Nitrogen fixer"
