I finally realized this morning why stomach is last to go when people try to lose weight.
Here is how it came to me.
For years, I have had a problem with my right foot - sometimes, it would get so red - even skin would start peeling off. Usually, it happened at night - and then, by the morning, the foot would look much better. Yet, it would get really red in the son or when my feet were hot. Even the nails got effected.
Initially, I tried to counter the problem, focusing on the foot. Then, I realized that this was a futile approach - the leg was not a problem - the blood it was getting was causing it. But why my right foot and not left or another part of my body? So I stopped trying to fix it until I discover what I have been doing wrong. Let my body teach me a lesson.
Yes, many times, I noticed when eating wrong foods my leg showed it to me right away. And I was thankful for it.
Interestingly, this morning, I had a dream going backwards uphill in my car while the breaks did not work. The dream interpretation matched my thoughts about persisting doing the wrong thing eating. And I finally realized this morning why it has shown up in my leg. When I eat late, I also sleep on my right side so that the food continues the flow in the right direction. However, eating late, I'm also taxing my internal organs to work at night when they should be resting. And this is where the "bad" blood ends up.
Why is the stomach last to go when loosing weight? Because when you have a small stomach like mine, if you overeat or combine the wrong foods, the valves (pyloric and esophageal sphincters) get pushed, which is very painful. If they open, the acid and other stuff may spill in adjacent digesting areas - not a good situation again. People with big stomach may not experience this problem to this extent. Therefore, moving waste may be better when you have a bigger stomach. Slow changes are less stressful on your body.
I have a long post on loosing weight on my private websites, blogs and most likely in my book.
