There is always that ultimate balancing force in everything - in politics, history, personal life, nature, our body, mind and soul.
Pain is balancing, be it emotional or physical. If you do not dismiss and learn from it / make changes, it will return. (I have many posts on pain on this website).
I use this thinking in real life. For example, I'm trying to get my husband to get more sleep at night. My strategy - not to wake him up in the morning for work, so he realizes that he needs to make changes. Otherwise, he would continue his pattern.
If you leave the nature be, it reclaims the space even after a radiation explosion. If we keep pouring chemicals in the soil, killing the bugs and plants, some bugs / wild life we may not want, will dominate, as we interfere with the natural balance. Bigger insects will consume the poisoned plants, and bigger plants will grow to cleanse the soil - just like it happened in Chernobyl. It is so funny how people try to manually aerate the soil when insects do a much better job.
If we grow up sheltered, we may get hurt later on in life believing strangers.
How does our intelligent body persist to sustain itself?
By healing, inflammation, fever, mucus, blocking, holding liquid, sneezing, sweating, isolating, spasms, loss of appetite, creating new channels of flow, pain, showing you on the body the problem areas. I realize my body is smarter than I may be. Therefore, I try to listen and assist it - nourish, cleanse, relax, move, eat or not, use my hands, intuition, imagination, positive thinking, willpower, hug my dog or cat, garden, observe nature - refocus and be in the moment, etc.
Viewing the body, mind and soul as a whole makes more sense than concentrating on fixing local issues - it is all connected. When a plant is malnourished or is in a wrong environment, it will start losing its leaves or flowers before perishing. Nothing is attacking its leaves - the plant is trying to survive by dropping its extremities. Would you start trying to fix its leaves or think of the underlying issue? Of course, we want to look and feel good. However, it is more productive to fix what's causing the problem.
